CBSE board exam 2019: Preparation strategy to score maximum marks

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the annual board exams for the Class 10 and Class 12 students in the month of February-March 2019. If you are also one of the students who will appear for the CBSE Board exam this year, you must be spending most of your time reading various books, reference notes, and question papers for preparation of your board exams.

As the CBSE 10th and 12th Board Exams is going to begin next month, here are a few points that you should keep in mind while preparing for your board exam:

Solve previous year question papers and mock test

The question paper from previous years will give you an idea of what type of questions are asked in the exam. Also, solve as many mock tests as possible to know what are your strong topics and where you need to put in more effort in terms of studying. Set a time limit to complete the mock test. Think of it as you are attempting the paper in the exam hall.

Make a note of your mistakes and learn from them

After solving the previous year question papers and mock test, check how many answers were correct. Make a note of the questions you failed to answer/ answered wrong. Analyse your answers to find out where have you been going wrong. For example, increase your writing speed if you ran out of time while attempting questions; make a note of topics you were not able to answer.

Revise is the key

Revise as much as possible. While revising, you should also make small notes of the important topics that you can refer for final revision. While revising, put more focus on topics that have been asked again and again in previous papers.

Clear all your doubts

If you are continuously making mistakes in a particular topic, consider understanding that topic clearly. If possible, go and ask your teacher to explain the chapter once again to you and get all your doubts cleared before the exam.

Stay calm and take proper rest

You might feel continuous pressure of exam but giving rest to your brain before an exam is also important. Your sleeping, eating and physical activity level will impact your exam result. So, sleep well, eat healthily, and keep yourself hydrated to prepare your body and mind cope with the exam pressure.
